The Let's Talk Racism planning committee has been closely monitoring the Coronavirus situation as it relates to our 2020 conference in Durham, North Carolina. Unfortunately, due to travel restrictions and the Governor's state of emergency declaration, we are regrettably postponing this year's conference.

Dear Community, the we are Board met and decided to cancel our 2020 Summer Camps due to the coronavirus. Everyone's safety is our priority. Be on the lookout for how we plan to engage children and families this summer!
Virtual: Educator Summer Institute 2020
Dear Community, due to the coronavirus, the Educator Institute will be held virtually this summer. The Educator Summer Institute is designed for K-12 educators and aims to 1) Build a historical understanding of racial constructs, 2) Develop strategies and techniques which extend anti-racist practices into the school community, and 3) Promote civic engagement and allyship with people of color on issues of racial justice in education.

Are you interested in learning about we are's anti-racist summer camp curriculum for young children? If yes, please join us for a new program this summer, the Curriculum Workshop. This training will be Wednesday, November 4th - Thursday, November 5th at the W.G. Pearson Center located at 600 East Umstead St., Durham, NC 27701.
